I have now for a few days been thinking a lot about Diversity.
So what does diversity mean?
The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect.
It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences.
These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies.
It is the exploration of these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
It is about understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the
rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual.
As a few of you already know, I had the opportunity to be in a music video a while ago that actually will represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev.
The goal with this song was Love and Diversity, but unfortunately the State TV in Greece (ERT) don’t know what that means in reality.
A Media company that do not recognize, LGBTQ persons.
I have been raised by my parents to treat all people alike, as I want to be treated myself.
How can it then be so difficult Year 2017, that a state own media company don’t know what diversity is.
No matter how people interpret love, LOVE IS FOR EVERYONE.
It is not ok that some MALAKES should decide for what people in Greece can see on TV.
Don’t forget that the Greek people gave 12 Points to Conchita Wurst 2014.
As a conclusion I just want to say this to ERT, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.
